The HPI—RDU (Replacement DIGICON Unit) is designed to be Plug and Play ready, using the original J-connector layout, making it an easy and direct replacement for existing HSDE controllers. It is designed to accommodate the different DIGICON versions. The replacement has the same J plug arrangement as the Series 1 and 2 DIGICON's, and can be fitted directly in place of these existing controllers without significant rewiring. Series 3 are accommodated by employing a cable adapter harness. This controller utilizes the latest Allen Bradley FlexLogix system. Flex I/O is used alongside FlexLogix; it offers all the functionality of larger rack-based I/O without the space requirement. The user interface is provided by a Touch Screen Allen Bradley Color Panelview Plus HMI. This provides functionality such as: graphical representation of data, alarm history, trending, and user configurable parameters. Additionally, the user can interface the equipment to LAN, WAN, SCADA, or other diagnostic control equipment.
